Epiphany’s Youth Ministry: “Rooted in Christ”
BE DAVIS MEMORIAL FUND AWARDS
The first annual Be Davis Memorial Fund awards were presented during the 10am service on March 30, 2014 to Brendan Potempa, Tanner Van Briesen, Lily Van Slyke, and the teen mission trip fund. These awards assist or reward young people in grades 6 through 9 for Christian efforts, accomplishments, or enrichment of their own and their peers’ lives. They honor the memory of Be Davis, a long-time Epiphany member who taught Junior High for years and had a special fondness for young people in the age range. Be’s husband Rod (back left), a member of Epiphany’s choir, presented the awards to the recipients.
Here at Epiphany we have two Ministry Groups for kids and teens:
Teens (Grades 7th – 12th)
We meet weekly to increase their knowledge in God, Fellowship, Outreach, and to grow in their faith. They also engage in large group activities, such as our summer outreach trip to California.
Weekly Meetings (at Epiphany):
We meet every Sunday night from 5-7pm for Faith, Fun, Food, and Fellowship during the course of the school year.
In the Summer we change to Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm.
Summer Outreach Trip: Thurs, July 25 – Sun, July 28 in San Diego Calif. for Outreach experiences and to grow closer in our Faith with Christ. (For grades 7th – 12th)
Yes Group (Grades 4th – 6th)
Young Epiphany Stars (aka “YES”) is our fellowship group for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. We meet once a month for a fellowship event on Sundays following Church services (YES does not meet in the summer). Suggestions for a fun event are always welcome!
